In production, a single glance often decides whether a part is good. A scratch, a missing component, a wrong dimension. People get tired doing this work. A camera does not. We develop the software that inspects your parts optically and reports the result to your production line.
What a camera can inspect
- Surfaces. Scratches, dents, discolouration and surface finish.
- Completeness. Are all components present, correctly assembled and correctly aligned?
- Dimensions and position. Distances, diameters and positions, in the image or in 3D.
- Labelling. Reading printed markings and labels and comparing them with the target values.
Classic image processing or AI
Classic image processing solves many inspection tasks quickly and transparently, using edges, contours, brightness and patterns. AI pays off when defects vary widely in appearance or are hard to describe. That requires enough sample images. Together with you, we decide what suits your task on the basis of your own images.
What an inspection solution includes
- Camera and lens, matched to part size, cycle time and required accuracy.
- Lighting. The right light often makes more difference than the best algorithm.
- Inspection software with the algorithms, for example based on OpenCV.
- Integration with your control system, your database or your inspection records.
- User interface for your staff, for setup, limit values and reports. More on this under User Interface (GUI) Development.
Our approach
- Clarify feasibility. Using your sample images, we test whether the camera detects what it should.
- Choose camera and lighting. Only when the image is right does work on the algorithm pay off.
- Prototype. The algorithm inspects real parts, and you see the detection rate and limits.
- Integrate and hand over. We connect the inspection to your production line, document it and train your team.
Getting started: the Image Processing Feasibility Study
In the feasibility study, we analyse your sample images and build a prototype of the algorithm, classic or AI-based. You receive a study report with detection rate, limits and recommendations on camera, lighting and software. The feasibility study costs a fixed price of €3,900 plus VAT. You can find all packages under Fixed-Price Starter Packages.

Frequently asked questions about optical inspection
How many sample images do you need?
For the feasibility study, images of a few good and defective parts are usually enough. An AI method needs considerably more examples. You can often collect these along the way during ongoing production.
Do you work with our existing camera?
Yes, if it is suitable for the task. You can read how we integrate cameras into your software under Camera Integration.
What happens to the inspection results?
The software reports pass or fail to your production line and stores images and measured values. This lets you trace every inspection later.
