SPS – Smart Production Solutions takes place in Nuremberg from 25 to 27 November 2025.
Next week is the time: Cadida is taking part in the 21st IT-Unternehmertag at the Melia Hotel Frankfurt.
The event focuses on networking and exchange with owners of mid-sized software and technology companies from the region.
For two years we took part in a research project: HIRAC (Hardware Independent Robotic Assistance Controller).
Companies are usually dependent on a particular type of gripper arm or on one manufacturer.
When humans and robots work together, a number of safety requirements must be taken into account. Especially in the social sector, where robots are close to people, risks must be identified and limited in advance.
The task of pouring a liquid into a cup requires precise motion control of the robot and adaptability to different conditions.
So far, most AIs in robotics have been used to recognise, grip and precisely position objects.
The next date for the 3-day Revit training course has been set!
Take part so that you can develop your own add-ins for Autodesk Revit, automate typical tasks and optimise your modelling processes individually.
Through image processing and object recognition, different objects in space can be recognised and sorted into categories.
Two intensive days at Automatica 2025 in Munich are behind us – full of innovations, inspiring conversations and valuable insights into the future of automation and robotics.
This year's team day began at Taumi Freiburg, where we had lunch together over delicious Asian food. With (fortunately good!) weather, we then continued on foot to the Freiburg Botanical Garden.
For our research project, we need to develop a method that can quickly recognise and locate unknown objects in three-dimensional space.
Only then can the robot arm interact with them.
The aim of our current research project is not just to train a robot arm in the social sector.
Rather, it is about developing and implementing software that can use AI to train robot parts from different manufacturers and with different sensor systems.
To make production lines flexible, future-oriented and economically attractive today, automating work steps is essential, for example by using robots.
Artificial intelligence (AI) has become an indispensable part of our everyday lives.
Beyond everyday solutions, AI promises great potential in many other industries.
We had the pleasure of visiting the Bauma trade fair in Munich, and we can say with certainty: the future of construction is digital!
The combination of construction machinery and state-of-the-art software has transformed the industry.

Discover the future of construction with Cadida at the digitalBAU trade fair in Cologne! Visit our stand and find out how our services can save you costs in your processes, planning and personnel!
Our year began with the inspiring presence of Mascha Klein's art in our offices. The cheerful, humorous and sometimes quirky works of the contemporary painter create a unique atmosphere.
The Cadida team wishes you a peaceful Christmas season and a spectacular start to the new year!
May 2024 be filled with joy, ease and great success for you!
Did you know that Cadida has a design & engineering department? It does, and it has grown further with the latest project in engineering design and modelling for a large laboratory technology company.
Today we are at digitalBAU in Munich. This trade fair is a bit smaller than its "big brother" in Cologne, but it offers more time for in-depth discussions with other experts in digitization.
How nice that this year the horse show took place on May 6 and 7 at Mundenhof. The tournament is organized annually by the riding club 99 e. V., which, in addition to the horse show, does great work and promotes and supports different groups of people.
Cadida has moved and is now located in larger and more modern premises. Visit us at Merzhauser Straße 144 in Vauban!
Cadida turned 10 years old in March - we look back with satisfaction and look forward to the future with anticipation. With pride we look back on numerous successfully completed projects. They were exciting and filled with meaning for us.
Cadida Software will shortly be starting a new research project together with Offenburg University. The project will investigate the extent to which artificial intelligence and a robotic arm can support people with full-body paralysis and people with locked-in syndrome in everyday life.
The current global health crisis poses major challenges for companies and clearly reveals the state of digitization in Germany. In the meantime, many companies are working to digitalize their own structures and processes and are changing the way they work. The crisis is forcing us all to do this, both those who have already invested heavily in this area and those who have made little or no progress in digitization to date.
Even before the Corona crisis arrived in Germany, 9 out of 10 companies with more than 20 employees from the German economy saw digitization as an opportunity, according to a survey by Bitkom at the beginning of the year. In the meantime, most companies are getting into the act. For companies, digitizing right now means achieving greater security, speed, and cost savings during and after the crisis, thus strengthening their own competitiveness.
But what can digitization look like in my company? This is where expert advice is needed to find suitable solutions in a targeted, fast, and cost-effective manner. Together with our customers and interested parties, we discuss needs, problems, processes, and cost-intensive areas of the respective company in order to identify them. Performing tests is crucial for compiling or developing targeted software solutions and hardware components. Depending on the industry, this can vary greatly. Currently, we are in discussions with almost all industries that need a digitalized solution quickly to successfully adapt and continue their business model. If you have any questions or need advice, please feel free to contact us.
We had so many ideas for the trip this year and voted. It turned out - the majority wants action! So we are especially happy that the destination was Europa Park. We enjoyed delicious food together at Rock Café, rode (almost all 🙈) roller coasters and watched a short movie in the 4D cinema.
Thank you very much for the very successful trade show, many exciting conversations, lively networking and a lot of inspiration! The leading international trade fair for laboratory technology, analytics and biotechnology could take place again this year and of course we were present there as exhibitors.
This year, we were again happy to support the horse show here at the Mundenhof in Freiburg with a sponsorship. We are pleased that we were able to hold the May tournament of the riding club 99 in Freiburg again after two years of pandemic-related break.
And are very happy to see each other live and in color. Normality is slowly returning, we can enjoy cookies together at the meetings and cuddle our sweet dog Sally. Even if you imagine such a software development house to be very quiet, because everyone is sitting at the PC and developing, it is currently very lively. It's nice to have smiling colleagues around again.
As an exhibitor, we are currently getting the feedback from organizers that trade shows are being cancelled. Such as the sad news from wvib Schwarzwald AG that the industry trade fair i+e in Freiburg, scheduled for March 16-18, 2022, will not take place. So also the organizers of the TWENTY2X - New Tech and New Business Fair on March 22-24, in Hanover was also canceled.
Therefore, we will not be able to exhibit at i+e and TWENTY2X this year. It is a great pity, because we were really looking forward to the exchange with you. But! Digitization is advancing
Digitalisation is advancing and affects everyone. Despite the most challenging times, many companies already have a digitalisation plan, but the current budget is often not enough to, for example, develop new software or integrate AR, VR or AI into the value and process chain.
At the end of the year, Cadida was awarded the contract for the software development for a research project of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) to develop a novel reader for digital PCR.
Fortune favours the bold. And the development of modern technologies is advancing. According to a Bitkom survey, three quarters of companies in Germany regard artificial intelligence as a technology of the future.

All roads lead to Rome, but with Scrum you get there faster.
Anyone who has decided to make the switch and is taking the first steps does not have an easy time at the beginning. We are happy to share our experience so that Scrum runs more easily and smoothly for you, too. With these two tips, your retrospective and sprint planning will go better.
More and more customers come to us wanting to outsource their software development. This is due to the current economic situation. The reasons vary. For example, the company has to cut personnel costs, or does not have enough staff to handle the project alone, or wants to focus more on its core business and customer service.
We advise SMEs on all aspects of this topic, weigh up the pros and cons together with them and thus create a sound basis for the decision.
Agile project management is nothing new. And it is spreading like wildfire. More and more employees and applicants attach great importance to more freedom, personal responsibility and natural development. That is why many companies are moving away from outdated hierarchical structures. We have been working with Scrum for years and have had very good experiences with it. We are enthusiastic.
Why Scrum can be a booster for your company and what you should look out for when introducing it, you can read here
This week, the whole team elected an employee representative. This innovation came about at the suggestion of the management. It gives the team greater influence on how cooperation within the company is shaped.
As a software service provider, we are currently seeing a high level of digitalisation activity among German SMEs. Companies are securing their future now and optimising processes in production and administration.
The mood in the German economy continues to brighten. According to the Munich-based Ifo Institute, the Ifo Business Climate Index rose from 79.7 to 86.2 points in June. This is the strongest rise ever recorded. The services sector also saw an increase, from -21.0 to -6.0.
This month we are celebrating the successful completion of an important project. True to the motto of individual digitalisation, our employees have developed new software for a customer in laboratory technology/cancer research.
Together with four other consortium partners from Germany, and with the support of VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH, Cadida Software GmbH has applied to the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) for funding for a research project.
Naturally, we have regularly been asked these days whether we are open. As a software service provider, we were able to switch to working from home very easily and can be reached both by phone and by email.
Over the past month, Cadida has been active in the Freiburg region alongside its day-to-day business. We quickly and unbureaucratically advised doctors and therapists and supported and trained them in setting up online consultations. In March, we offered this service free of charge.
A camera manufacturer is using software developed by Cadida to measure fever using face detection in thermal images. This enables the thermal imaging cameras to measure facial temperatures and evaluate them reliably. Camera and software form a compact solution for easily detecting people who are ill and are already being used successfully at airports, for example.
To protect its employees from possible infection with the coronavirus, Cadida is following the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute and cancelling numerous trade fairs for the coming months.
The successful launch of the digitalBAU trade fair in Cologne was an eventful highlight for us. From 11 to 13 February, more than 270 exhibitors and around 10,000 visitors engaged in a lively exchange at the Cologne exhibition centre.
A strong second half of the year brought Cadida Software a 26% increase in turnover and another rise in profit.
We would like to thank our excellent team and the loyal customers we once again had the privilege of supporting in 2019. Exciting projects are planned for 2020, and we are already welcoming new customers in the fields of CAD and image processing.
Cadida has been awarded the Open Company and Top Company seals of quality by Kununu. This makes it one of the few companies to receive both seals. Only 5.5% of all companies listed on Kununu achieve this double award.
We look forward to welcoming you to our exhibition stand – stand number: 23. The 15th SME Congress will take place in Freiburg in October under the motto “Challenges of the Future”.
We are delighted to have hired new employees for marketing/sales, project management and software development.
As every year, we celebrated the Cadida anniversary with our company outing. True to this year’s motto, we swung our hips and our golf clubs together. We had lots of fun at Golf Campus Schlatt – with great success and great conversations.
If you would like to join us next time, take a look at our careers page. We have several vacancies and look forward to receiving your application.

BAU in Munich from 11 to 16 January was once again an event for Cadida Software right at the start of the year. BAU-IT again had its own hall, in which not all software manufacturers in the industry found space. For this reason, digitalBAU will also be held in Cologne in 2020. That trade fair will be devoted exclusively to construction software.
After switching to electric mobility at the beginning of 2018, switching to green electricity was the logical next step for us. This applies not only to charging our vehicles, but also to the use of renewable energy for all our offices, servers etc.

Sustainability and environmental awareness have played an important role in our company from the very beginning. Whether it is buying locally instead of ordering, organising many journeys by public transport, or comparing materials and choosing the most sustainable alternatives wherever possible, carrying out repairs instead of buying new whenever we can, and in many other everyday situations.
Today you will find us at the 26th International Trade Fair for Laboratory Technology, Analysis and Biotechnology. In the middle of an exciting laboratory technology project supporting cancer research, analytica is the right setting for us to expand our network in laboratory technology and medicine – because visual software plays a decisive role here too.
Cadida turns 5 – thoughts on who we are and on the term “start-up”. This March, Cadida Software GmbH has existed in its current form for a full 5 years. A reason for us to celebrate, but also to look back, to look ahead and to give some thought to who we actually are, what we actually do and where we want to go.
On Tuesday, 28 November, the CAD-Gruppe Baden is meeting again at 7 pm. This group of experts has been getting together for years to discuss topics from the world of CAD. Design engineers, architects, civil engineers, computer scientists and many others meet to exchange ideas.

Anyone who would like to hear about the events early on is welcome to join the CAD group.
On 4 March 2013, managing director Ebi Eilber founded his software development company. Today, just three years later, it has grown into a well-coordinated team.
The company offers a broad range of software development products and services, with a focus on “2D/3D graphics, CAD, simulation and image processing”. Cadida Software GmbH is therefore a specialist when it comes to imaging software, the display of measurement data and the connection of devices to graphical software.
We are delighted that, just in time for our third anniversary, we have been able to hire new female employees, who now strengthen our development team. It is a particular pleasure for us to welcome women to the team. Achieving a healthy mix of different people – especially in software development – is not easy, and we are proud of our interdisciplinary team of male and female developers from a range of disciplines and age groups.
Almost two years ago, our managing director and partners set up a CAD group that meets regularly to discuss new developments or to help one another with programming. Each meeting has a topic, on which there are talks and discussions. From now on, we intend to report on the meetings and their topics here under "News".
The last meeting took place on 23 February 2016 at our premises, on the topic of “Inventor Fusion”.
